Designer Plunge Pools – History
We would love to take credit for the concept of a Plunge pool being made from a water tank but its been going on for over 100 years. We have many customer have found memories of child hood experiences swimming in grandpas old water tank or water trough.
What we did in 2019 was take our premium stainless steel water tanks and set about making them a safe full functioning pool which matched our goal of value for money and sustainability.
Its been a interesting journey with allot of lessons learnt about pool chemicals and structural differences between tanks and pools. For example we where surprised at the additional engineering / structural improvements which where required to the basic tank to have it stand the dynamic loading experienced by a pool. We also had a number of early issues with our sealants moving from tanks to pools due to the chemicals and light exposure etc. This was quickly corrected with our partnership with SELLEYS.
Our pools are now a sound solution at an affordable price for your family and will provide years of service.

Designer Plunge Pools vs others (eg Tanks without lids / PVC lined pools / poly pools etc )
When we released a properly engineered plunge pool we spurred on a new market segment of a affordable and stylish above ground pool solutions. We love competition as it pushes us to deliver new products and ideas.
Here are the key differences that set us apart from the others
- We are the manufacturer. We source the best steels and materials and craft then into a elegant and stylish plunge pool. We start with a coil of steel and roll form/curve/weld/polish/punch/test all in house at our Sydney facility. Whilst we thrive on competition be aware many middle men have jumped onto this band wagon sourcing shells and parts from many suppliers to take advantage of this latest trend with slick marketing and sales teams. Please make sure you check references and look into google reviews before parting with your money. Check if they have a actual physical address and phone number . Ensure you pay modest deposits and receive the goods before final payment.
- We don’t use PVC liners. Our pools are pure 316L marine grade stainless steel. We have our steel certified for peace of mind and only source from reputable steel mills. In addition we partnered with industry leader SELLEYS to develop a unique sealant. (read case study here ) This is applied with a state of the art GREACO application machinery. This process required significant investment. Other products are available with lesser grade steel and cheap PVC liners (like the old Clarke rubber pools ). Double check what your receiving. Cheaper solutions with PVC liner are avaliable now on the market but warned about back up and support issues
- We deliver ourselves. We deliver our pools with our own staff and trucks. We assist with getting your pool into position ready for final hook up. Most companies outsource this to third parties. Utilizing our own team of trucks and drivers ensure a complete end to end service with best customer service outcomes.
- We offer value for money. We cannot believe the price others are charging for tank pools especially the imitators who use liners. Be aware of these over priced middle men cashing in on the latest trend. We believe in a honest profit to enable us to be here for the long term. We do not believe in practices such as full payments up front / strict non refund policies and the like . Our products are high quality delivered at a fair price.
